To ensure the text is easy to read without missing any information, the following guidelines were followed: The width of the text blocks is no more than 700px, or approximately 45–85 characters, which, according to Smashing Magazine and Baymard Institute, is the optimal range for comfortable reading.
To enhance visual storytelling, photographs and graphics were used to illustrate the text, including some images drawn by Tolkien himself.
Overall, the visual concept draws inspiration from Tolkien's own illustrations, immersing users in a world of magic while showcasing a lesser-known aspect of his creative legacy.

the life story
Animation played a key role in the creation of the website. It brings the site to life, making it more engaging and memorable. In this section, the challenge was to connect information about the Nobel Prize in Literature with Tolkien's books, while avoiding the false impression that he had received the award.
The leaf-falling effect was added to the section about Tolkien's final years and the death of his wife. The goal of this animation is not to draw the user's attention to a specific fact, but rather to evoke a subtle sense of sadness and create an association with the autumn of the writer's life.
In addition to the desktop version, fully responsive designs were created to ensure a seamless experience on mobile and tablet devices.
